The Mantells, ‘How To Say It’ EP Launch
Support from: Hacketts, The Bliss, Black Sonic Revolver
The Castle Hotel, 66 Oldham Street, Manchester M4 1LE
FREE entry + FREE digital copy of the EP
Every Saturday for the last few weeks my Twitter feed has been aglow with the buzz off The Mantells weekly tease of their upcoming debut ‘How To Say It’ EP and Friday sees the launch of the EP at The Castle Hotel.
So far we have been treated to 3 of the 4 songs off the EP (Able Bodied, Key To The City, Parallel Lives) and they hint at just how much potential and talent the lads (Tom, Lewis and Dale) in The Mantells have. The lads look all set to whip up a frenzy when the EP releases and so far reaction has been understandably positive from all that have listened to the tracks have already amassed over 1000 listens. The last tune from the EP will be up the night before the gig and promises to be a belter.
Everyone attending the show will, on the night, be told how they can get a free digital copy of the EP.
Support on the night comes from The Bliss, Hacketts and Block Sonic Revolver.
Hacketts are making their live debut and I am proper looking forward to hearing what they can bring. I have listened to the little taster they have on their Soundcloud and it suggests they could be proper talented.
The Bliss (coming all the way from Lincolnshire) are a band I really like the sound of. Taking their influence from the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane, it’s easy to hear that, but they have also stuck their own spin on it and it’s a proper accomplished sound. They are definitely one for the future and I relish seeing these guys.
Black Sonic Revolver are a band making a noise for themselves in Manchester at the moment. Insanely talented with a huge sound, Black Sonic Revolver are a band on the up! The show will be acting as a warm up ahead of their album release at the Night and Day Cafe on 22nd August (Tickets http://www.nightnday.org/event/black-sonic-revolver-album-launch/ ) and fingers crossed we will get a little sample of what to expect from said album. Expect big things.
Overall: 3 top bands, free entry, a free digital copy of the EP and a proper good night out in a great Manchester venue… Why would you not have it? Get on it for what promises to be a top, top night of live music and the beginning of a journey to the top for The Mantells, you’d be fool not to.
